Hi,

New to the site, and i've done a quick search with lots of returns of STI oil questions. Mine is a 56,000 2006 NA 168bhp engine, not driven hard at all, and doesn't do much milage (more in summer for Cornwall camping!) over a year. Whats the recommended oil as it is occasionally driven at the weekends, spends time parked up outside, so wondered if I need a thicker oil?

Any info would be super helpful.

Ta.

I'd go for whatever opie recommends. Fuchs, and millers are good value fully synthetic. Shell helix is also pretty good.

Millers 10/40 fully synthetic nt , i don’t agree with 0 rated oils as they intended more for economy , and too thin, a thicker oil in an older higher mileage engine you will use less oil as it’s thicker , plus works better for the engine when it heats up , my turbo gets 10/40 or a 10/50 , my monaro 10/40 , oil change every 7500 miles
