New Impreza WRX / STI - does anyone import them
Discussion
Sick of VW now - unreliable and a pain in the bum and phenomenally expensive to get fixed. Again.
So I go the back catalogue of my favourite ever cars and it’s the Impreza Turbo 2000/wrx/Sti every time. Ones with about 270ish Bhp - I’ve had 3 in the past including a turbo 2000 with a few mods which was my favourite car of all time.
As we know Subaru U.K. want to foster an image of tweed and pipes and don’t import anything worthwhile and they can shove that attitude.
I know Subaru makes the Impreza and in rhd. Does anyone know any organisation that imports new or nearly new ones without trying to charge 50k that I can run as my daily driver. I’ll be damned if I can find one. A 10 year old Impreza is probably a bit long in the tooth for my general needs and I have a lotus as an old timer. I don’t want a Yaris.
Many thanks

Might be worth posting this in the Japanese chat section.
I'm not sure what export rules are, do they have to be x years old before they can be exported from Japan ?
I'd be tempted to reach out to some import specials and ask I've found Tony and the team and Japanese used to be useful info@japaneseusedcars.com, you basically tell them what you want, they source it and put it on a boat for you

You can import anything you like. If less than 10 years old it will need an IVA test when it lands.
Give TorqueGT a call. They will let you know what's available to bring over. Either through their dealer network or through the auctions.

Find something you like and TGT will do the rest. It's what I did with my last import.

Harlow jap autos are good , they often have landed cars which i prefer as you get to see it before you buy , there are a few fresh jdm imports on ebay or pistonheads etc , torque gt as above are also good , quite a few months for it to arrive via torque gt , the current issue is all imports have shot up in price , an 04 Fsti 4 or so years ago 8 to 9 k , now the same car 14k , it’s not brexit for a change it’s the jdm market , on imports , some jdm imports are in wet environments similar to uk weather so can have rust issues same as uk cars , but so far all my jdm imports have been like new cars , needed underseal and conversion to mph , torque gt can do the sealing etc for you , always get a carvx check done it’s a jdm history check
