Hi, so I've got a bit of a dilemma, since this whole pandemic thing me and misses have been working from home and it looks like it's going to be permanent. Unforunately this means my scooby has been sat idle for 6 months now with me only taking her out to keep her ticking over (well and for fun). Long story short we only really need one car and my misses won't drive the scooby (mainly because its was my dads) and I'm now considering selling her. Problem is I have no idea how much she'd actually be worth and was wondering if anyone could help?

So info on the car. My old man brought her new and I've had her for 3-4 years. Shes done about 107k miles but she had a full engine rebuild with forged piston heads and an 11 bar oil pump at 75k. Shes also had the secondary air pump removed and been remapped. Other than that shes pretty much stock. I've got all the documents for the work and I think every MOT/service, which have all been done by specialists. As you can see from the pictures the paint works not bad but got the usual paint chips etc especially on the front bumper and the wheels could do with a respray/ replace but shes just passed an MOT with flying colours and shes in good nick. So yeah can anyone help me out? Cheers, Matt.

I'd venture about £4.5k to get it sold, probably list for £4995.

You could list as high as £6k, but I'm doubtful it would actually sell. For a WRX, £5k is generally the ceiling I would suggest.

Hey thanks for the reply. Thats kind of what I thought/feared but the prices on Autotrader and ebay etc seem to be insanely high right now and they don't even have the forged engine or the stainless steel exhaust etc etc which cost over £5k about 5-6 years ago. No idea whats going on.

If yours is £565 for road tax then some people will be put off even though it's only a couple hundred more than the tax on a 2.0. A fully forged 2.5 with a remap is a damn good car and to me £5000 is a bargain!

Cheers, yeah it is a 2.5 and yeah the road tax is massively off putting haha, but that was pretty much my opinion. Thinking if I do decided to sell I'm not in a rush so might put her up for £7-8k and see if anyone offers me something sensible?..

look for a jdm import , they are sometimes imported with 0 emissions so tax is half the price

It was Surrey subaru specialists in Camberley and it was £4804 (I have a comprehensive record of every part and procedure for the record lol) but you can add on another £1500 or so for the exhaust, secondary fuel pump and delete and remap so yeah can hopefully see why I wouldn't let it go for £5k lol.
