I'm finally in a position where I can afford to sell my 2000 Turbo to buy an STI wagon, I've been looking at a silver V5 that fits the bill perfectly but doesn't have the DCCD, am I right in thinking that none of the wagons had the DCCD? Would it have the LSD at the rear like the V4's did and would it then have ABS if it didn't have the DCCD? On the road is there much difference between one and a 2000 Turbo?

I'm not aware of any STi wagons having DCCD from the factory, though of course there are aftermarket swaps.

IIRC only the DCCD cars (STi Type-R and RA and 22b) were non-ABS, so the wagons should have ABS.

I'm no longer in the position after my 2000 turbo decided to wake up this morning with a pleasant engine knock. Looks like I'll be waiting a while longer and missing out on the perfect one

Sorry to hear that the engine has let go, But Ben is correct.

None of the V5/6 wagons, including the rare STI variants had DCCD, instead they shared drivetrain mechanics and braking systems with the saloon equivalent of their UK or JDM counterpart. Your V5 STI would therefore have saloon STI drivetrain and single pot rear brakes etc.

The STI R/RA/22B saloons and 2dr coupes' that had DCCD, did not have ABS.

Interesting to know, cheers. Just bought a replacement 2000 Turbo, it's the first time I've had one without 4 pots on the front

If it’s only two pots in the front and UK car, it will be version 4.
