Hi

I’m currently about to put up my 2005 wrx up for sale and moving to a 2005-2007 import legacy estate gt spec b probably as want a bit more room for dad stuff. And I can’t seem to find anyone with a decent range of aftermarket parts exhaust suspension parts etc etc. Does anyone have any recommendations? Cheers

MDMA .

From what I've read up on, they're pretty much sorted out the box. They need a decent remap for UK fuel and the main power seem to comes from the downpipe. GrimmSpeed make a good one.

Definitely a good move, I changed from a Blobeye estate to Legacy Spec B two years ago. I've been tempted to get a remap with supporting mods but not much is out there off the shelf. Worth jumping on the UK Legacy forum group and FB groups to see what others have done, on the forum, there is an importer who can order some branded parts from auctions etc. My local garage has pretty much said near enough for £2K they would sort a fuel pump, cat-back exhaust from Hayward and Scott and a custom remap, this potentially takes you to 300BHP for safe zone and UK fuel but others have pushed it to 320/330BHP. Me personally, I've only used V-Power fuel and just not come round to doing those mods but then again I've got mine up for sale as I fancy something else again, (I promised myself I would keep this car for more than 2 years)..............

So I have been through the process with the legacy... I bought an import 07 legacy tuned by STi June 2019... and upgraded the downpipe with high flow downpipe, panel filter upgrade recently, but I was recommended not to do the fuel pump as its more hassle than its worth to upgrade unless you're trying to tune for 350bhp+.
Duncan at RaceDynamix knows his stuff on the Legacy... came highly recommended on Legacy Forums http://www.racedynamix.co.uk/remap/
The car didn't get massive gains, auto is 260 stock... but got it up to 275 at top end, which is what an uprated downpipe usually provides in gains. I don't think the boost was pushed too hard either and lets be fair, not many cars keep all their ponies after 13 years... so I was very happy!
The biggest improvement from the remap was the mid range rpm from 2k to 5k... 30hp increase with loads more torque... the car is now a sleepy weapon... so unreserved, but it bolts when you want it to! So much fun on country roads!

Thanks for the tips guys I wish It was as easy as getting stuff Impreza lol, I’ve been looking on some Australian websites as they seem to have a bigger market for the liberty/legacy etc being so close etc.

Have you done anything handling wise?

Hi try Import Car Parts, and Torque GT for parts.

The twinscroll is not designed for large power gains, tbh ive kept mine as it came into the UK and run it on Shell V power after talking to Duncan at Race Dynamix, and its been fine.

UKLegacy forum has a lot of helpful people who have owned Legacys of all generations.
