Service history

After much pontificating and wondering what to buy, yesterday we bought a Forester XT.

Now my ? is the manuals, holy big book Batman. The manual on just the nav is 1/2 inch thick.
But the main ? is how do I get its complete service history

I just bought an Outback with no physical history, I confirmed the history in 2 ways. I emailed the dealer whose sticker was in the back of the car, they confirmed the first 3 services via email and the following 2 services were confirmed by my local dealer via the online Subaru system.
