I realised this afternoon that I've lost my locking wheel nut key.

£40 for a replacement key online.
£40 for a removal tool + new nuts.
£11.40 for a replacement key from Subaru!

Here on Tuesday, couldn't believe it. Thought it was worth mentioning as it might help someone out in the future.

I did the opposite a year or two ago. I lost one of the locking wheel nuts and couldn't buy one to match the remaining three and the nut key. I had to replace all four which now means I also have three wheel nuts and a matching key. Not sure why I've kept them really.

Might come in handy if you ever buy a trike?!

Where did you get it from? Local Subaru dealer wouldn't sell me one without two hours labour to remove nuts by welding. Seemed like bks so I bought a tool from Machine Mart for a tenner - will be trying it at weekend.

Local dealer, Europa in Sheffield.

Slight update though...

It didn't fit! It wouldn't even go over the nut. So I’ve ordered a full replacement set from them for £30 and had my local tame garage remove the old ones. Took 5 minutes with a generic locking wheel nut removal kit.
