Firstly do they exist? Secondly are they 296bhp with a manual box and thirdly does anyone have any info on them?

I've consulted the internet and lots of people in 2016 seemed to say they were coming but I can't seem to see any for sale or any reviews of them.

It's the first thing I've read about in 5 years that seems like it could be a worthy replacement/stable mate for the Foz STi.

They are out there, just not available in Europe or the US which is a shame. Probably down to emission regs or something.

You can spec one up on the Aussie Subaru website but it's 264hp and no manual option: https://www.subaru.com.au/levorg

They are available on the Japanese website too. They maybe available in Japan with different specs, but I can't translate at the moment.

Switzerland, which is Subaru's biggest european market by some distance, has an STI levorg which is just a boggo 200bhp levorg with STi stickers and fittings, kind of like s line for audi etc. Its actually quite nice.

Switzerland was where I saw my first Levorg back in 2016. I always assumed it was Impreza size but recently learnt it has a larger boot than the SG9 Forrester.

I keep seeing mention of a 296bhp Japanese model but can't find anything on it. Maybe an email to a friendly importer is wise.

Japanese price approx £22k, would cost about another £3-4k to land it in the UK. Looks like they are about 265bhp.

They are all CVT`s to my knowledge.

But they look a million times better than the standard Levorg

So to answer my own question and anyone who finds this thread.

I spoke to a well respected importer who actually brought a Levorg STi into the country this year. They are all CVT and around 265bhp.

My search started as Auto Car and Auto Express both made mention of a 296bhp Manual version.

No luck unfortunately, thanks for the comments above sadly it doesn't exist.

Yep 100% I just thought it was worth updating the thread for people in the future.

I think I recall importer Prodrfituk having one advertised on ebay a while back. So much so that I have a saved search for Levorgs on ebay but only ever get sets of springs. Haven't seen one since.

you can get it up to 210bhp at least . i dont have the exact details on it but a colleague has one that is remapped and i can get them to you next week.

Here is one for sale out here in switzerland

https://www.autoscout24.ch/de/d/subaru-levorg-komb...

you may notice the ad says Leistungssteigerungen bis zu 210 PS, which means performance improvements up to 210bhp. Heres how I believe: (you may need google translate depending on your knowledge of german):

I only read this post 20 minutes ago. It's already evident that I'm going to have a problem leaving this site alone wink

I'm often looking at goodies on there. The problem is getting enough together to make the shipping costs work out.
