So having eaten itself in March, I'm finally off to Plymouth tomorrow to collect the 330s, completely re-built with forged internals and hopefully now a long term keeper.

Credit to the garage I bought it from in Sussex who've footed the bill and let me choose where it went for the work, all I've paid is the extra to go from OE to upgrade parts as required.

I'd only had the thing for four months before it died so looking forward to starting the 'relationship' over again! smile

Alan Jeffery? Can't go wrong there.

Sad to see another 2.5 eat itself. At least you have the faithful wagon to fall back on.

That's what I'm hoping!

The wagon just keeps marching on in the hands of eldest son, a remarkable machine.

Alan and Martyn are the best. They fixed my Impreza’s issues after a big rebuild that the other garages couldn’t. I used them a lot when I had an Impreza even though they are a 4 hour drive from me.

The 330s is a cracking car!

Uneventful 120 mile run home from Devon with detailed running-in instructions for the first 1000 miles. No more than 4000rpm initially but even that is super illegal on the motorway in 6th!

All lovely and shiny under the bonnet now so if it all continues to work as well as it looks I'll be a happy bloke.

So having had a week abroad, I'm only just coming up to the first 500 mile oil change so as instructed by MJ, K&N filters and correct oil ordered.

I'm sticking to the rules completely as instructed with this process smile

Did a 200 mile round trip to London first thing, I'd forgotten what an accomplished mile muncher this is on motorways, so much more relaxing with the extra gear than my previous Wagon. Really looking forward to stretching the legs properly but being patient.
