For a 2.0 Legacy quad cam engine (09 Sports Tourer),

Which is the best/most reliable aftermarket kit (to include all idlers, tensioner adn waterpump)?

I've had Blueprint in the past which never gave problems but I didn't keep the car for long enough to ever find out.

I went with a Gates powergrip kit for my impreza from Import Car Parts, along with a genuine Subaru Cast impeller water pump for £100 (comes with gasket). They sell the latest Gates kit with revised tensioner bolts, full bearings etc and also were price matching at the time and if you talk and ask nicely on the phone they will combine the postage. As a precaution and for the sake of £25 I changed all the water modine hoses as well, which they helpfully put into the Gates box.

I changed my coolant at the same time, Opie oils are doing 15% off at the moment. Fuchs fricofin is the stuff to go for. Again, give Opie a call and they'll put you right.

Cannot recommend them highly enough to be honest. Next day delivery, very easy refund / replacement service and all in all although there were cheaper parts on Ebay, the final cost was roughly the same give or take a few quid.

Brilliant, that's the firm in Bishop Auckland right?

I used them for parts on my previous Lgeacy and found them to be excellent.

Will give them a call - cheers!

I also ordered a clutch from them a while back, and although it's not listed as such the bloke told me it was an Exedy blue box unit, worked out cheaper than anywhere else, including Ebay, so I was well chuffed with that.
