Hybrid WRX/STi for 2020/21?
Discussion
This could be interesting if they can keep the weight down.

The lineartronic in my 2018 Forester XT is surprisingly good, actually a hoot in sport# mode at full chat so hopefully this STi could be ok too. The weight is bound to be more in a hybrid (unless they use lots of light alloys or carbon fibre, unlikely in a volume car) but with the batteries low down the centre of gravity may be lower. Presumably they have also managed to beef up the lineartronic box, I thought it was reaching the limit around the 300bhp mark.
I never thought I be interested in a new car launch but I'm looking forward to this. Very glad I got a Final Edition although the 'Final' looks like it'll apply only to the old-school drivetrain!
