So my foz is approaching 20 this year and the old girls doing OK but starting to feel a bit long in the tooth and the cold morning piston slap is getting worse,

Seriously tempted to go look at a couple of hatches, I actually quite like the shape,

I'm well aware of the ej25's reputation, one of the ones I'm looking at has had a rebuild (not sure what spec exactly phone calls will be made today)

Is there anything hatch specific I should be looking at or is it the usual subaru faluts/quirks I Need to be aware of ?

Thanks

Indeed if I had the 8-10k available I'd be all over one sadly my budget won't stretch to that, !

Ideally I wanted a hatch as they are newer and hopefully it would only be getting a map then be left alone for a bit,

If I broke my foz I'd get more towards the pot but I can't be without a car for any length of time as the wife can't drive so leaves me with all running round nursery etc

Tell me about it ! She tried driving the foz got about 5 foot beofre stalling it 3 times,
Her response was 'I can only drive diesels' 😂

7 tests and still no full licence she's talking about giving up for good

Just out of interest what ins group are your fsti's in ?
Mine sits in band 37 I've been told, the hatch would be cheaper to Insure being a UK car.
