What tyres are you all running ?

So I need new set of boots for my sf foz, I've gone from a 16" wheel to 17" this year, and the tyres are due a change,
Had Goodyear effecient grips on before and quite liked them, but I'm guessing alot of the comfort was down to a bigger sidewall,
So what are people using on your subaru?
I'm looking at
conti premium 5's
Good year efficient grip performance
michilen cross climates
Any others people have been happy with that I may have overlooked ?

If I still had my Xten, I would probably go for the Goodyears.Had Goodyear effecient grips on before and quite liked them, but I'm guessing alot of the comfort was down to a bigger sidewall,

Have you looked them up on blackcircles, to see what the wet braking and noise statistics are?

Goodyears are A or B rated depending on size for wet grip and b/c for economy
Think the conti's are around the same but wear faster, I got nearly 20k out the Goodyears,
The cross climates have excellent reviews from the motoring press but real world reviews aren't as good,
And obviously there's uniroyal rs3 to consider now,

I always ignore the economy readings, as Subaru engines are never going to be that fuel efficient anyway.
I do hate noisy tyres though, unless its a low-use track car.
If you can validate those negative real-world reviews on another site (make sure its not just one guy/ competitor), then its probably best to remove them from your list.

My Forester is on Continental TS850P winters, (225.60.17) these are an amazing tyre in poor weather. The Yoko Geolanders it had from the factory are ok but neither an outstanding winter nor summer performer so I use a winter set which have already proved there worth today.
Mrs F's Outback is on Bridgestone Duellers which are poor imho, they're as noisy as hell. If you're looking for a year round tyre then the CrossClimate seems to be the choice tyre, the reviews always praise them although I have no personal experience.
The best summer tyre I have ever had is the Conti Premium 5 SUV, I have these on a set of wheels I use through the summer and they stick well and they're quiet.
I know a few people in my part of the world have used Nokian winters and had problems, Subaru in Otley have had more than one set in their workshop with the tread separating, just something to consider.

Is there a tyres section on ph ? I had a search but couldn't find it, admittedly I have to browse on my phone at work so that may have hindered matters,
I'm mainly after good wet grip as you'd have to be doing something really silly or traveling at many leptons to loose it in the dry on anything half decent
O/T, but how did you find the switch from 16s to 17s OP? My SG is running 16s and I have contemplated moving up to larger wheels. Can't add any answers to your question as I am on Yokohamas - though due to replace all 4 very soon (hence interest in your Q) - I'd come to the conclusion of CrossClimates, but have recently read about the Uniroyals.
I wanted to go up to a 4pot set up at the front so had to go to a 17" for clearance, loved the ride on the 16'' nice and comfy as i'm also on a pedders lowering kit, the 17"s don't seem much different, I picked the xt rims up cheap with part worn pirelli p7's on which feel horrible and wooden, not much communication, I'm hoping a new set will feel much nicer
I'm running Rainsport 3 on the Legacy and Falken ZE912 on the Forester. the Legacy gets used most weekends and every other week. RS3 are a decent all round tyre. good in the dry, good in the wet, they just do everything quite well. not that long lasting though and quite a soft side wall ( even in XL ).
the thing with tyres is to decide what you want from them and decide what your budget is. no point having track orientated tyres fitted now if you're going to be running all through the cold weather and winter months ( might as well buy a mid range tyre that is more suitable ).

Been on the tyre review sites, but that's just thrown up more options,
Budget wise I'm not fussed how much 'premium' tyres cost i'm a firm beleiver in buying the best i can get seeing its only the contact the car has with the road, and skimping on tyres seems a bit daft to me,

i's say coming up to 10k miles, but would have to check. dearest is not always the best. if the weather turns bad this year, Pilot Sport Cups would be next to useless you need to buy for the use they will get. no track work, don't need track focused tyres. what car are you putting them on?
michelin pilot super sport are the best but not cheap , i found the kuhmo ku39 were better than the falken fk452 , i'm running ecosnow on my wagon at the mo , they were cheap but are a good tyre and are a snow tyre which are normally terrible unless you are in snow , but all round i would stick with the kuhmo , vredestein do some good tyres too , plus black circles are a good way forward , or openeo tyres if you know a fitter they will post them out to you , tyre life wise they are good i'm not changing them very often
