Just picked up yesterday my second car I've owned which is a 05 plate WRX wagon biggrin
Drove it back from Kent down to West Sussex yesterday and felt great. Makes a nice burble thanks to a de cat, but I don't think it's fully de cat as I believe there are 3 situated in the standard turbo cars compared to the 1 in the STI's? Am going to get this checked out at my local garage but it did pass the MOT test this June so it can't be toooo bad! Other than this.. bodywork is in great condition, alloys have all been refurb'd and the interior is in great condition... very happy with this purchase the speed took me by surprise a little so easing into that one and learning the car first before any of that right foot happens smile .. looking forward to many happy years smile

Snap! This is my recent arrival.

Mines an 04 with a PPP, got rid of those wheels immediately and back on standard 17's.

Great car, so versatile and a hoot to drive.

They are fantastic cars. Had my 03 WRX wagon for 10 years now and still take it out for no reason. Enjoy!

Double take there! It's 1 letter off of the Silver WRX wagon I just sold last month - SL05 XA.....

Came from A F Noble up in Scotland.

The only think I don't like is the headlight output even with decent bulbs. I'm toying with this option to deal with the high beam as the lanes for my winter commute are murky to say the least;

I think by lifting the number plate by about 3cm, this unit can be mounted on the upper surface of the lower intake just under the plate so not too obvious. At 44cm wide it's very neat and the light from them is astonishing. Would cost the same as a finding a decent JDM HID set but at least this bar could be moved to another vehicle.

I'll report progress if I go for it!

JDM HIDs are only for dipped beam AFAIK. I have a Bugeye and the headlights are equally hopeless. Dipped beam being the biggest culprit though. When a car approaches from the other direction, you are practically blind, they are that useless. I fitted JDM HIDs with OSRAM nightbreaker bulbs for both and the difference is remarkable. So I'm pretty sure that the high-beam can be resolved simply by fitting some better bulbs (as the high beam reflector/lens is the same on UK/JDM), however dipped beam is the real weakness and JDM HIDs are the way forewards.
