Legacy Spec B - advice needed for selling
Discussion
My parents have decided to buy a new car, and that means that their current one will be sold privately. It's a dark blue 09-plate Legacy 3.0 Spec B auto saloon, owned by them from new with just over 58,000 miles. I've been tasked with working out a rough price for them, but as there's so little on the market (at least relative to other brands/similar types of car) that I'm struggling! Also, unsure as to where best to list the car to get the maximum exposure for the type of person who'd be interested - PH classifieds the best bet or any other recommendations?
Thanks in advance for any help/advice!

one for sale in Manchester ( 09 plate ) at a dealer for 6495.00.
take 1000-1500 off for a private sale and that would be a good guide. have they asked what the PX price would be ? sometimes easier to just px rather than mess around selling private. I know they are big road tax which is always a stumbling block on an old car ( around 500 a year ? ).
also, you don't mention miles / condition / history etc. could be like new, could be a dog

To give you a rough idea I bought our Outback 3.0R (same gen as yours) for £8400 with 46,000 on it. It was it perfect condition and has been flawless and we intend to keep it for as long as it'll run for.
For yours I'd suggest around £7500 and depending on what it looks like I'd be interested myself.
