STI 2015 - Tyres

The Dunlops have had it.

Any suggestions on alternatives?

Years ago on my STI I used to run Eagle F1s - but don't know how they would work on the 2015

My Son has just put a set of Michelin Pilot Sports on his, there was change for a pint out of £500 fitted. It was something of a whats available that's good situation as they were all ready for changing and one was punctured. He did mention the car was back to been glued to the road, the odd time I drove it on the Dunlops it never failed to amaze me how well it handled. I wouldn't have thought there wouldn't be much difference in the two ? I've always rated Michelin.

Depends if you don't mind soft side-walls. PS3's do indeed have some of the best grip of them all dry and wet, but do make for a squidgy feel

Go something like Bridgestone if you want precise

Interested in others views as well, due to needing a new set myself. Also where's the best places to get them from

Kuhmo ku39 , a sensible price and lots of grip plus good tyre reviews , I have them on a 430 Bhp rwd 5.7 v8 and they work well including the wet , plus on the fsti , as other tyres wear they will get put on the cars

Think I'm going to stick with the Dunlops, just have to up the speed rating to a Y. Hopefully getting the new wheels fitted next week, but not worth changing the tyres over, as they have done 15k now. Should wait, but can't.

I've got Pilot sport 3's on my 172 Clio and they grip like glue on fast twisty B roads. Absolutely spanked a Porsche Boxster Spyder recently round North Wales on a run out.I should imagine they will work well on a WRX STi.

Just ordered Goodyear Eagle F1 Assy 3.

Hope they are good.

I was chatting to my tyre fitter Tuesday while having another set of Bridgestone S001's fitted to the FSTi and he was saying how the sidewall strength has been beefed up for the Assy 3's
