My t25 camper van has a 99 Legacy 2.5 DOHC engine fitted and goes very nicely. I did the conversion 5 years ago and the engine had just had a belts change at the time. Although it has only done 20k since, I think the belts are a 5 yr change and I'm guessing it is an interference engine, so prudence is the sensible course of action.
How easy are these to do as a diy project or are some specialist tools needed?
Thanks in advance.

I've never done one , I don't think special tools are needed , from what people have said if you are competant it's do able , but my feelings is go to some one who knows how to do it so it does not go wrong , the tensioner is a good idea to do if it's a quad cam
