How much of a GX is the same as a WRX?

I've got an 02 plate WRX I've had sitting about here for a year now & have finally got round to getting it up in the air to look under it. All the suspension / subframe steel is very badly rusted, I can strip it & blast it clean easily enough but I'd be worried it was weakened too much the rust is so bad. The main body isn't too bad, bit of rust in the rear arches, but not too hard to deal with.

With a new battery & rear shock it would run fine, starts up no problems after a good charge now.

It's door & wing are dented & the bonnet is rusting quite a bit from stone chips.

So I was thinking of getting a GX & stripping that to use the suspension & body bits if it would fit? Selling on the rest of the bits from it should cover some of the money from it too.

I guess the shocks may not be the same? But I assume the subframes & all the suspension arms should be the same?

is your friend.. you can find the part numbers of the WRX and GX parts and see if they are the same.


You might be better off just calling ScoobySpares and getting 2nd hand parts off them. Iv never had anything from them that wasnt exactly as described over the phone.
