Forester tyre size?

Hi all, looking for some help here.

My MY07 XT is soon due for some new tyres. I currently have 215/60 R16 93V on all corners. When I go to Blackcircles and enter reg, it says they should be 215/55 R17 W094.

The manual has both 16 and 17 rims listed with no indication as to which goes with which model (manual covers 2 and 2.5 litre non-turbo and turbo).

Any ideas?

2007+ Foresters came with both wheel/tyre sizes depending upon wheel fitted. Check which wheel type you have, and full wheel/tyre tech-info' can be found here...

I'd imagine if your Forester already has 16" tyres then you have 16" wheels.

I was going to suggest checking the Vin, to see if somebody may have swapped the 17's for 16's, but looking further the vin does not cover rims:

Have you had a quick look at the classifieds, to see if you have the same rims as other 2007 cars?

Thanks both. Odd thing is, the wheels look like the standard for the earlier model (SF) rather than mine(SG)- being 5-spoke with 'arches' as the gap between spokes. I'm guessing that if 16s are on now, then 16s should replace them.

...then the wheels/tyres shown are 215/55 17

I've got 16" steels on my 07 as its an NA 2.5 and the tyres are 215/60 16

OP, one should never guess with tyres. As per previous post, check here against the Forester wheel/tyre library

Or, simply take a wheel off and check the wheel size on the rear...you could even take some clear photographs and post to this thread; it's not difficult...
