My local Subaru dealer have just sent me a sales brochure type booklet entitled "Some cars aren't ready for anything. Some are."

It mentions the following cars;
Forester SUV
Outback
XV Crossover
Levorg (still a ridiculous name)
Impreza
BRZ
WRX STI

Now, am I being hyper sensitive or does anyone else think it's odd there's no mention of a Legacy? The Outback is just branded as that. Not a Legacy Outback.

So my question stands. Has the Legacy been dropped?

It looks like they market, the Legacy Outback, the Legacy B4 saloon, and the Levorg, which seems to be an Impreza estate!

The Japanese only 300bhp Levorg! http://www.subaru.jp/levorg/levorg/

We still get the Liberty over here, but with two huge things missing. First, its saloon-only, no wagon version, except the Outback. Second, its auto-only. Both mean that I won't be getting a new Lib.

Levorg isn't really big enough, and a bonkers Lib would be good fun - that 300bhp engine in the Outback body but riding lower as a Liberty wagon. New model looks better than the Gen 5, though still not quite as well-rounded as the Gen 4 wagon.

That's a pity but I guess ther're only reacting to market demands. Down my way Legacy wagons are pretty common, relatively speaking.

Considering I'm always at least 10 years behind the curve with my cars, I've got a while to go yet before there isn't a Legacy wagon for me!

I had a 2004 Legacy Spec-B WR estate, one of the best all round cars in the world for the money!

I was looking at those before going all sensible and getting a 2.0R. I'd still have a Spec B in a heartbeat if petrol was half price...

I intend changing my Impreza Wagon for a Legacy Spec B next year. And fitting an LPG conversion. LPG was 54 ppl when I filled yesterday.

You could always import a RHD Aussie-spec GT wagon - either 2.0T or 2.5T - both come with around 250bhp, the 2.5T also with SpecB set up and, IMO, are more fun than the 3.0 SpecB. And watch out for STi versions of both too. y experience with the 2.0T is that its less juicy than a 3.0 when tootling around, but can still sup at a reasonable rate when 'making progress'. I averaged around 24mpg with high urban usage, but averaged 34 on a 1000km run, fully laden, that also included a couple of laps of Mount Panorama.

Not sure if that helps... biggrin

Sorry, forgot to say this was a JDM 2.0 that I had imported!

I'm still driving a Subaru, this time a JDM 2.0 WRX STI 😊
