Roger Clark Motorsport don't want my money!
Discussion
Well I've never experienced that before!
The clutch on my Impreza is high, and I thought I'd felt it slip a couple of times.
So I had it booked in at RCM for a clutch replacement, and thought I'd get the weeping driveshaft seals and a couple of whiny bearings changed, but Olly's just called to say that he really doesn't recommend doing it yet. Says he doesn't think it's slipping, and that I'll get loads more miles out of it.
Makes a nice change to deal with a garage like that. Definitely makes me more inclined to return with other work, and when the clutch does eventually start slipping.
...now, time to get the wheels refurbed and bodywork seen to. Any recommendations?

Rimstock / Team Dynamics in Castle Bromwich refurb wheels as well as make them. Haven't used them myself, but have seen them doing it when in testing parts. Make wheels for Mclaren and JLR, among others, so should know what they are doing. Afraid I don't know how much they charge.
Have used Olly and RCM for years and have always found them to be honest with any work that was required. Always keeps the parts removed for me to have a look at and also emails pictures as updates when doing work on my car.

I got the same with Alan Jeffery of Plymouth. My diff had shed a few slivers of teeth, and was picked up during a service. I was all ready to get him to fit a 'new' diff, but he recommended to leave it as it wasn't causing any issues. The clutch on my Impreza is high, and I thought I'd felt it slip a couple of times.

This is why I like using a good specialist. They don't rip you off and know the car well, so will recommend the best for you and it. Dealers just know how to change some fluids, and some can't even do that properly!selym said:

My car had been plenty of other places before and nobody managed to resolve a few niggling issues. Martyn meanwhile fixed all of them in 2 weeks.
Roger Clark are also great and my car has many of their parts fitted. It's just too far for me to go, although I wouldn't now anyway given my trust in Alan Jeffrey's EngineTuner garage.
