Passenger air bag needs replacing. If you have one (WRX and STI included) get it sorted.

Thx for this. I heard 'Airbag recall' as a low agenda news item on the radio a few weeks ago. Will be contacting Keith Price Subaru later today for my WRX and have told a '54 WRX-owning colleague.

What about owners of JDM cars? Subaru UK have long been hostile towards JDMs. Hardly surprising though.

Not covered by IM so unlikely. Same probably goes for the thousands of parallel imports too.

It's a Subaru UK recall, not a global one.

Just a thought, would my 03 (blobeye) be affected by this? It's an early 03 build but obviously the 04 model. scratchchin

Doubt it:

"Subaru UK is advising owners of all Impreza models built between 2004 and 2007 to contact their local dealer at their earliest convenience to have the front passenger airbag inflator replaced free of charge. "

Otherwise my 53 plate car would be an issue too....

Give Subaru UK in West brom or you local dealer a call and have your VIN (on the V5 registration document) handy. They will have a list of the affected numbers

I called to check mine today and it isn't part of this recall. There is another one that does impact my car, but only if you have the original lower control arms - mine have been replaced with Sti units, but it might be worth checking for anyone else.
