the battery in the other half's car is going flat;
It's a new battery - Yuasa pro, and was fully charged before use.

Car is only driven twice a day on average, 3 miles each way.
Noticed it was a bit sluggish to turn over.
Car stood for a week - dead as a dodo.

Stuck a current clamp meter on the + feed from the battery - something is drawing 150-200 mA constantly
I've checked interior / boot / glove box lights - nothing on.
I've pulled the fuses one by one - no change.

any suggestions ?
(other than drive the car for longer / more often!)

It'll be a tracker, amp or something else aftermarket.

Is there anything additional wired to the battery?

my money is on the tracker - came to me at about 5 this morning ! - it's the only non standard part on the car.
nothing else is connected to the battery
going to disconnect it (when I find it !) as it's not needed any more

Historically, they are a prime cause.

Usually its the older models and they misbehave in cars that are garaged, as they are constantly looking for a satellite signal.

tracker removed ( it was bloody well hidden!)
current draw gone
all good now

the little side light switch the top of the steering column got me scratching my head for a while - why are the side lights on... ?

That switch has been vexing people since 1998.

Also, the 'bright' switch fitted to UK cars that brightens up the clock back to daylight setting when you have the lights on.

the Mrs has had this car for 8 years now - she didn't even know what it was for !
live and learn..

Must say, I've performed open heart surgery on many different types of cars, but the Scoob really impressed me as to it's pull-apart-ability.
Nothing broke.
It all screwed back together nicely, no rattles.
