Impreza Estate-anything I need to know?
Discussion
I need a new estate car, so I thought Impreza estate. What sort of MPG do they get and how big is it? Is it big enough for me to take all my family (there are 5 of us) and a boot full of stuff? Also if you know of a nice looking Impress estate for sale please give me a link.

Boot isnt THAT big, due to the angle of the rear glass but look better than the salon..
rear seats fold down flat to make a resonable space.
Iv heard even a non turbo will only get 35mpg with a tail wind when going down hill..
I managed 27-29 in my wrx if I was just doing commute driving.. much less if I headed away from the traffic tho'.
the engine like clean oil.. so service regular and often. use the OEM filter from the 3.0 engine (black made in japan) about £10ea.
same money gets you same but cheaper
a Fozzy massive in teh back.. we had a 06 from new, put 80k on it.. no issues
a fast Leggy pretty big boots.. not sure on mpg on the twin turbo engine
another fast leggy
a leggy non-T Leggy
If your after space.. then look at the leggys or a Forester.. if its just lugging kids stuff about (like i was) then I liked my Impreza estate.. was big enough.

I've had turbo foresters and currently run a WRX Estate. the junior taxpayers are 9 and 12.
Firstly, if it's space for 5 and load capacity get a Forester or Legacy. Although the Impreza and Forester share a floor pan, the Forester holds a lot more space. The Forester has a full-size spare, the Impreza a space saver. The Forester comes with the big sunroof that really adds to the feeling of light and space in the car whereas the Impreza is a lot more claustraphobic.
As for MPG, I was expecting to get ~25mpg (225bhp model) so had it converted to LPG within a fortnight of buying. I recorded the mileage and fuel used over the next 20,000 miles; 24.43mpg if you want to know.
