Looking for a 2004+ wrx estate
Discussion
I'm hoping someone can help me out. I’m after a 04+ wrx estate yet everyone I see advertised is located 150+ miles from where I live.
So I wanted to know if anyone in Hampshire, Surrey or Berkshire knows of a good one for sale or one that may be coming up for sale soon.
Realistically I’m after a 2ltr that’s in good condition, fairly unmolested and is problem free. If there is a good 2.5 I’d consider it as well but only in the later models. Colour isn’t that much of an issue either.
thanks
Shaun

Just a case of looking. Autotrader and Pistonheads have always given the best results, Scoobynet not so much but you never know. There's not many out there so prepare to travel or wait.
I've had two now, second one got killed on the M40 last night. Awaiting insurance compensation because it's a write off and now struggling to know whether I go for a 3rd or get something else. For the money nothing else comes close and the MPG issues are BS. Read about any other hot hatch or similar performance car and they return not dissimilar MPG or just one or two better...hardly worth it.

I hope you and anyone else in the car are alright. I've had two now, second one got killed on the M40 last night. Just travel for the right car, may be worthwhile in the long run. I had to go from Aberdeen to Southport for mine, in fact I'd say the travelling to get your car adds to the fun!
I had to go Hereford to Leicester for mine. Then took it to South Wales for the LPG conversion. <60p/litre now :-)thewhirls said:
Have a look at the Legacy Gt Estate's, they're a good compromise, quick and with plenty of space. I've just put my 307 BHP one up for sale.
I did look at the legacy gtbs but was told by a specialist to stay away from the imported ones unless they have been properly looked after. can you give me some info on yours as the other half prefers the looks of the legacy.littledrummerboy said:

I might be being a bit picky but I'm after one that doesn't have the grey plastic bit at the bottom of the boot (not the boot liner, but the plastic bit outside the car). mines for sale at the mo, you should be able to find it in the classifieds - 04 wrx wagon. let me know if you'd like any more info or to come and have a look. i'm in west sussex, so should think not too far from you.

I have a 2004 Wagon for sale in Silver, about to change job so hunting for a diesel to commute with.
Mine is unmolested and has the PPP fitted, its nice and tidy inside and good on the outside.
119000 miles with FSH, due a belt in 10k miles.
If fuel economy is your only worry, why not get the car LPG converted? 60p/litre and the conversion will pay for itself in under a year as well as adding to the resale value. WRX PPP performance; diesel Astra running costs. What's not to like?Mine is unmolested and has the PPP fitted, its nice and tidy inside and good on the outside.

I bought the Subaru as standard and will not be butchering it with a LPG system, thanks all the same as I want to keep it standard.I also don't want to be clocking up thousands of miles on it as it's a nice car, I already find it far to addictive to drive so it will be replaced for a high performance diesel.
Then if I ever stop commuting I will buy another, plain unmolested Subaru fast becoming a rare find these days.
