What's just broken???

Just come to leave Tesco car park and all of a sudden my cars decided it didn't want to pull off in ice and just sit there stuck. Got it moving but there's an almighty 'knock knock knock' noise coming from the front end, the car will boost but it feels like there's barely any drive at all, just rev it and it goes barely anywhere.
Managed to limp it home as it's only a very short trip but I have a feeling this is going to now be an expensive bill. Happy fking xmas eh.

Had to move it off the drive just not and back on, to find it's got no drive to the front at all... So it's either goodbye shaft or diff. So much for the diff/6 speed being bomb proof then.

Hard luck bud.

The 6 speed is a long way from bullet proof if it is that. Some consider it stronger than the 5 speed but lots have also ran big power on the 5 speed box.
