engine management light
Discussion
I went through a slightly deep puddle last night in a slightly unknown area to myself in my 2.5 auto legacy. The 'vdc off' button came on for a short time and the engine management light is now on permanently. The car drives absolutely fine with no issues. No lumpiness or misfiring or even slowness.
So what's going on here then?

Glad to hear it seems to have fixed itself.
Get yourself an OBD2 reader for a couple of quid on ebay and a free app if you have a smart phone. You can plug in and read any current fault codes and historic ones if you wanted to know what it had picked up.
I have had one a few years now and always keep it in the car just in case.
