Been looking to buy for a while, but my Ford Puma's MOT is about to expire and the list of advisories from last year that I completely ignored make me think it may be time to scrap!

So a bit of background, I ride my motorcycle everywhere I can - I just need a car for carrying things and getting to work in icy/snowy conditions. I work in a very rural area down lanes that have never seen a gritter lorry. I've nearly gotten stuck before so some AWD would be useful, but not too keen on huge cars so an Impreza seems to fit what I'm looking for.

Not bothered by power, just need something that wont need taking to the garage too often to drive a couple thousand miles a year. Spotted this locally which seems reasonable, just not sure if the mileage is a bit high?

Any other suggestions are welcome!

Looks reasonable, but it will be slooooooow (but you don't care). A Forrester could be another good, if not better shout.

will be not the fasest thing you have ever been in..
will like a drink.. think 35mpg
likes oil changes.
make sure the belt AND pullys have been done unless you like playing bangeromics roulette.
other than that.. its a unstressed engine. should go on and on and on.

NA foresters have a LSD at the back, NA Imprezas and Leggys dont.
makes a world of difference in snow (see my location)..
We had a 2005/6 NA Fozi for 5.5 years. 35mpg, service 10k miles didnt miss a beat till 3 days after we put her up for sale.
would have another, but maybe a Fozi STI wink

I have the 2006 versioni of that as my daily driver - with the low ratio box. It does drink fuel - it's thirstier than the GTB, it's not quick but it handles remarkably well. That car seems very expensive to me.
