I first drove one of these about a decade ago, back when they cost £15k, and the insurance would have been about the same amount. Nowadays it will cost me about £300, and I still have the hankering.
What do people think to this?

I'm not a big image person, but still not convinced I can live with that wing...!

That's the standard P1 wing. If you prefer something lower-key but want to retain the two-door body style you could look at the JDM Type R models.
There are a million threads comparing the P1 with Type-Rs so I won't open up that particular can of worms. This example has a number of non-standard parts including turbo so I would want a thorough test drive, as Subaru owners have been known for chasing power at the expense of driveability.
The mileage is obviously high but it does seem well-looked after by someone with some knowledge.

I see this one come up for sale on the owners club in the week, looks like a great car. Did you buy it?
I looked at one today but it wasn't up to standard, hoping to view another one this weekend coming.
Think the one I'm looking at next has something to do with one of the people that runs car loans 4u :-s
Finding good ones is hard work
