Hello all, here is my Mk1 Type25
Discussion
I promise that I will get some more images uploaded, but they are all of the car on my drive. Will get some interior shots and take her somewhere to take some proper shots.
I have always wanted one and now owning one its everything that I have hoped for. Here is the other side of the car for whilst I'm waiting to get some proper photo's

The spoiler is a spec c carbon spoiler.. Not to everyone's taste but I like it. It broke on the first day I had the car and have had to have brackets fabricated!
Spec is pretty much as it left Litchfield in 2004, JDM STI with 2.5 American small block mated to modified Japanese cylinder heads, forged pistons, equal length manifolds, Miltek with sports cat, twin scroll IHI Garette turbo, Ecuteck ecu.
AST coilovers and white line Arb and anti lift kit, increased wheelbase etc.
Changes over standard, Forge dump valve, cosworth head gaskets.
Currently mapped at 395lb-ft and 360bhp

Yep it's a pretty special car, so pleased with it. I've always wanted a Subaru and therefore tried to get a good one! My plans are to get the car as close to perfect as I can, it will be getting the 60k service at Litchfield, including 4 wheel alignment there. Looking at big breaks, front and rear, around October. Iv got group n engine mounts, pitch stop, gearbox mounts and whiteline rear diff inserts along with AS-Performance solid nylon gearbox linkage bushes to tighten up the transmission. All parts selected for minimal increase in NVH, hopefully with significant improvement in feel, fitting them next month.
I will be correcting the paintwork as much as possible whilst leaving plenty of paint, probably 95% correction. It's in good nick, paint depth gauge shows its had a bonnet re spray in its life but all other paint is original. I will be touching up the car then de-nibbing and polishing to get close to show car finish. Wheels and callipers are perfect, Yokohama ad08 are one of the best tyres I have driven, really impressed. Interior is very clean and has come up nicely with minimal effort.
I hope it doesn't get too addictive but I can see me spending a lot of cash in the next 12 months. I promise some more pictures after the car is detailed fully and I have found somewhere interesting to shoot.

Say hi to Iain for me he's got a new 4W alignment machine last year. I used my T20 on track and all B road stuff alway wore my tyres pretty even. Sold to mate who did a lot of motorway miles but wore out inside edges. He took the camber back and saved tyres but lost grip. Hay ho. He used to fit porche brakes and AST suspension but now uses Alcon set up and Bilstien. I was really impressed with the Alcons on the BMW curtiosy car. Much better IMHO
Tony
The spoiler s an s202 spoiler, it came with the car from litchfield. The spoiler fell off the 2nd day I had the car,the brackets holding it on snapped. The silver brackets have been fabricated for me and make it adjustable. They will be finished in satin black but I am in no rush to do that at the minute. When the car is finally perfect, I am wanting to swap to s203 spoiler.

Very nice car. I have a blobeye type 20 which I love. The previous owner (a friend of mine) swapped the ASTs for a spec C suspension setup as he found it a bit firm for driving the kids about - I'm curious how you find the ASTs as I am quite tempted to swap them back onto the car (they look very pretty in the garage but probably more fun on the car).
I find the AST suspension very, very firm. I drive a 335d msport as a daily driver and when I get back in that after a weekend in the t25 it feels plush.
However to quantify it the ride is not crashy, the rebound is fast but not bouncy therefore the car never feels unsettled. It's confidence inspiring and exactly what I would want from my Subaru. The suspension comes alive when you start to push on. Would I change the set up? No in my opinion, it perfectly suits the car.
