Spec B Legacy - good mechanic in London?
Discussion
hey all.
got a 55 plate Spec B on 136,000 miles.
It's developed a rattle/ticking and I had it down with my local mechanic today. They THINK it could be the chain/tensioners but were happy to admit it's a car they don't know a huge amount about and recommended I try and find someone else. Not much help to me but appreciate their honesty!
Does anyone know of a decent mechanic in London, preferably East, South or South East that knows the cars well? Or at least enough to be able to have a go at diagnosing the problem? I can't really afford a new car that matches the Spec B for me so, knowing full well it's going to be an engine out/front of car off type of job, I'm 'happy' to spend what it will take (or what I think it will take!) to give me a good chance of another couple of years in it.
Cheers in advance!

cheers mate. I was hoping to avoid a dealer as the cost would probably make it a write off but I might have to go that route at least to diagnose the problem properly.
Are you a tech there?
