Clicking noise with interior fan speed from the glovebox
Discussion
My STI developed a new noise tonight. It's when the interior fans are in operation and is in line with the fan speed.
The noise itself is a clicking noise which I can only describe as a dry leaf caught in a fan blade. If I put the fans up to full speed then quickly off you can hear it slowing down beyond what the lowest setting would be so it's certainly something with the mechanism or something touching the blades.
I'll take a look it with more detail when it's light tomorrow but for now have you guys experienced this? Is the part I should look at the black box behind the glovebox?
The noise is coming from behind there so I'm assuming that'll be the root cause.
Thoughts?

That's where the cabin air filter is. My bet is that there's a dry leaf stuck in the fan blade
Easy job, take off all the star head screws around the glove box, and the pushy rivet things, and the glovebox slides out.
Be careful with the wires attached though, they can be a bh to remove!
