If you don't mind traipsing to Princes Risborough, Richard at FB Tuning is the man.

I can also vouch for Hughberry Vehicle Services in Rickmansworth.

I have been impressed when down to see Zak at Mocom Racing but that is in Essex so maybe a bit too far

Japex in Kings Langley.

I used them for a big service on my Subaru a couple of years ago, and found them to be very friendly, and knowledgeable.

Another vote for Japex - they did all the work on my Nissan and if I'd bought another Japanese car they'd have had that too!

This. I drive from Reading to Rich anytime I need anything doing on my car. Servicing, mods and mapping. You wont be disappointed.

Rich at FB tuning gets my vote! He gets all the work that I can't do. He's very reasonably priced and a nice guy!

Not used Japex, despite I live 3 mins from them. They wont fit parts I supply or specify.

Really? I provided all my own parts and even had them delivered directly there to store for me until I could drop my car in.

thanks for the responses
As Japex are 2 miles away from where we live, they might just be getting the business !
I'll drop in today and see what they have to say

I did loads of web searches for Jap / Subaru servicing in Herts - and they didn't come up once - ah well !
thanks
David

I asked over the phone. They weren't having any of it.

Shame. Presumably something to do with their public liability and trade insurances.

Ah well, their loss.
