STi Grill badge on a Classic Legacy?
Discussion
I confess I know nothing about these cars - just bought a shed for £800, advertised as a 2000 (W) N/A 2.0 GL Classic Legacy estate, a week or so ago...
Just noticed the front grille badge is not the expected Subaru stars one, but just says STi
Is this significant? Do they all have it? Or did a previous owner nick one off a proper STi just to look good?
If it has been 'breathed on', in some way, how would I know?
Having had 300bhp+ cars for the last 12 years, it feels gutless and slow, obviously... (Last two were over 400bhp)
However, it doesn't feel quite as slow as I expected it to... and it does have quite a lot of (very nice) induction noise on high rev acceleration....
It is what it is and I'm chuffed to bits with it - best value for money car I've bought, other than my sub-£200 MR2 - so just curious, really...

Thanks - I thought so, but i don't care: For £800 it's an awesome car - everything works and the handling is sublime for a large estate, as well as soaking up the worst of the pot-holes around here - so even the dogs love it already: smoothest ride they've ever had!
Might get a proper badge from a scrapyard or something - not a fan of that sort of thing... I had a Carrera 4 with full GT3 aerokit and refused to de-badge it and/or put GT3 badges on, even though someone offered to do it for free.
