Simple ( maybe obvious ) question re Legacy Spec B
Discussion
Hello again..
Quick question folks.
On my hunt for a car ( namely a Forester ) an immaculate '05 Legacy Manual Spec B has come up within budget and with only 30k on the clock!
The question is , just how firm a ride is the Spec B in comparison to my WRX?
Is it any softer? ( please let it be! )
Unfortunately it is on standard 18s so I suspect not. I'm just hoping the suspension will be more absorbing than the WRX , which I find crashy and feels every pot-hole , since a Legacy ( in my eyes ) is a more comfortable cruiser.
Btw 2 cars ago I had an auto 3.0R Outback , it was ok but after a year I wanted back into a manual hence the Impreza! Is this going to be another mistake?
Thoughts?

I haven't driven a WRX so can't give a direct comparison, but I can't think of many modern cars that have the ride comfort / quality of a spec B, especially when taking the level of grip into account. Mine's certainly much better than the Audi's / Beemer's we've been running over the last few years.
The manual 'box in the Leggy is from the STI so offers a sweet change (they also seem quite rare so snap it up whilst you can).

I had a JDM Spec B, and the ride was very good, if anything, a little too soft. But, it really was a fantastic all round car!
I've seen a couple of those that are available for just under 10k. So much car for the money!Gassing Station | Subaru | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
