Blobeye WRX: Which exhaust?

A friend of mine recently bought a Blobeye WRX, And wants a bigger exhaust for it, for that STI feel. I've seen a blitz nur spec 2 (I think) mentioned. Is that the one to go for?

Nur Spec is one of the louder exhausts.
Afterburner Vortex is bit quieter.
Miltek and Hayward & Scott are even more discreet but still a step up from OE item.
Prodrive used backbox can be had for about £80

Youtube has loads of videos to give an idea of the range of exhaust sounds.

My friendhad a Blitz Nur Spec on his WRX, it sounded absolutely mint. The Blitz is the boy when it comes to Impreza exhausts, if I ever get an Imprez a I'll be getting Nur Spec on mine.

I`ve got a Roger Clark Motorsport back box on my blobeye 5 door. It's a stainless steel item with a single exit pipe. Fits to the standard system and they do a longer version for the 5 door as it has a deeper bumper. Not the cheapest, but still about £70 less than a standard item. Really nice noise from it, good burble on acceleration and quiet when cruising at motorway speeds. Really happy with it and releases the Impreza's real voice.

Ive had the Nur Spec S (backbox only), Prodrive, STI OE, Ninja, Hayward and Scott, and now have the STI Genome.

The Genome sounds the best for me, respectable on tickover but a lovely wail on wide open throttle, alas the Nur Spec was ultimately too loud.

Blitz is too loud and irritating after a while. I took mine off and put my Afterburner Votex and de-res centre pipe back on. Afterburner sounds better at full chat also.

I forgot i had the afterburner as well, it is a lot better than the nur spec, noise-wise.
