Suspension lift kit for Forester?
Discussion
I've seen some really simple lifts being done on these using coil expanders, extended brake hoses and the bottom half of old shocks cut about a third of the way up to act like an outer sleeve, with a hole drilled near the bottom to take the bottom end of your original shock with a bolt through the hole to fix it in place, and the whole thing bolted back into the original placement for the original shock.
You've just got to be careful not to over extend the driveshafts and propshaft. You could do a very quick 4" lift that way.
Crude but very effective.

You may have to search outside the UK for something that fits the bill, probably from the USA. Lifting kits for 4x4's in the UK are pretty common, but not so for the Forester i don't think. You may have to think outside the box for this conversion, i.e. like what i've already mentioned.
