Winter Tyres

I took the Sti out for a blatt yesterday round some of the backlanes which were covered in mud and very slippery which got me thinking about winter tyres.

How many people run with winter tyres on their Scoob and if you do, which ones ones do you have?

I've some Nokian winter tyres on my modded Forester, brilliant in snow, good in the wet not as good as summers on dry road on sunny days. Overall a good call and I'm happy with them, they are back on this year and all good so far.

I ran my Forester on VRedestein Wintrac Xtremes for 4years. V rated tyres and very impressive not only in snow but also in wet weather.

I fitted Snotrac 3 tyres to my Fiesta this year and it isn't gripping nearly as well.

So my limited experience would say there is a big difference between winter tyres, even from the same manufacturer.
