Is this the norm ? the wifes going to start driving it soon ,but she don`t like the brakes.Any recommendations for improvements ?

I think they are sliding calipers on yours, never liked them at all.

If you can change the front calipers to 4 piston type and change pads and fit stainless steel braided brake hoses great, otherwise you could just change the pads and fit braided brake hoses and see how that goes.

Sounds expensive :-( any idea on costs for half decent pads...discs ..callers would be ? Thanks bman :-)

Whatever you change the pads to at the front you do the same for the rear so they all match. Go for Performance Friction, Carbotech, Carbon Lorraine etc...

Bank on paying at least £100-£150 per axle. Don't scrimp on brakes, always buy the best you can.

SS braided brake hose set of 4 for about £60-£80 by HEL or Goodridge.

This should change not just the feel of the pedal but much improve your stopping power for much less pedal effort. Get your brake fluid changed to something like Motul RBF 660 DOT4 which exceeds DOT3 and DOT5.1 standards.

You'll stop on a sixpence!!
