Recommend me some tyres
Discussion
I have two good tyres on the front of my Scooby but on the rear I have two different (brands I've not heard of before) tyres (bought the car this way)
Its getting more and more twitchy now so I'll make a purchase and get a whole new set after this coming payday.
What do you guys suggest?

I have always sworn by Goodyears . Had them on nearly every scoob I've had .
At the time it was Eagle F1 GSD 3's before , now they're Eagle Assymetric F2's .. just fitted 4 on my Hawkeye and they have excellent grip especially in the wet
Going cheaper I had Falken 912's on my previous WRX ,they were ok but I found them a very hard and noisy tyre.
Hope that helps.

I don't like the T1Rs at all, they feel too "squidgy".
+1Tried F1 GSD3 and T1R on the Legacy, both gripped well enough but were too soft in the sidewall. Now using Bridgestone RE001/002 which are better in practically every way.
Not a fan of track-focussed tyres like R888 etc on road cars personally, too much grip to have sensible fun when warm and too unpredictably slippery when cold+wet.

I don't think you have tried these R1R yet, bloody amazing tyre in the wet. Cost may be a reason as they aren't cheap but Toyo have a genuinely cracking good tyre there. Right in the middle of T1R and R888. Agree about T1R, thought they were good when they first came out and i still think they are OK in the wet but there are better tyres for the same money.
I know owners that use R1R's all year round, do track days as well as normal driving, one or two Ring trips too, and so long as they aren't abused too badly you can get away with changing them once a year.
