Just saw this article on Jalopnik.

The general gist of it is, finnish guy drives legacy onto ice, ice gives way, car sits at the bottom of a lake for 3 months, recovered, all water removed from system and ecu cleaned. Car starts first time all electrics work.

Drowned my first Subaru ('86 Leone) but only for a few hours - towed home, changed oils and filters etc, seats and carpet out drying in the sun for a few weeks... still went about as well as it ever did.
