LEGACY

I bought my towbar wiring off Crossroads Subaru because they were cheaper than the 3rd parties, had stock of the 13-pin type I wanted, and could guarantee it was plug-in. No downsides. Very happy.

In fact that loom worked absolutely fine, and I accomplished its installation in about an hour (if you exclude the faffing) by removing the panels in the boot area and simply plugging it in. Easy peasy.

But there's a secondary wiring loom which allows you to charge batteries or power a fridge in your towed vehicle (caravan or trailer) which requires direct connection to the battery. Problem is, I can't work out how to get wires from the engine bay into the cabin. It seems that the wires from the main fuse box, next to the battery, pass through the space between the inner and outer wings and then they enter the cabin through a hole just in front of the front passenger door (you can see them if you open that door and look into the space between the inner and outer wings).

But I cannot find where in the cabin these wires pop out.

Can anyone help please? I'm going batty from trying to poke a bicycle brake cable into that hole and wiggling it around whilst simultaneously trying to observe what happens in the cabin with a torch whilst lying on my back half on the seat, legs out the door, etc etc etc... I've had a reasonable amount of the panelling off under the glove box but I'm absolutely clueless.
