If you really really want an RB5 get yourself registered on the RB5oc site and take a look at the classified section. If they are on there, they probably like their car a lot and will have looked after it. I was on there for nearly 2 years before I bought one, but eventually I got mine by putting a "wanted" ad on here.
Emma.

P.S mine is a WR, standard and full service history, but not for sale unfortunately. I love it too much.

Agree with above, if your after a WR in good condition your best putting some wanted adds on some forums, starting with the RB5OC. If someone has one in good condition they are probably in two minds if they want to sell or not so might not have the car advertised.

I really loved my WR Sport but after over a year of thinking about selling it I finally did last month. If I had the space I would have kept it as a good condition example is a rare find so wanted to keep hold of mine.

I only managed to track down an even harder to find replacement (hawkeye spec c type ra) from placing wanted adds as they very rarely come up for sale.

Good luck with your hunt, there are some low mileage ones about but you won't pick up a bargain if your after a good one.

Thank you both above for your input - money not an issue (selling an 80's 911 and 350SLK to release funds to find an 'allrounder') - have been offered a 2 door STI 6WRC (import) and also considering that... comments welcome!

I know of a very well looked after P1 with low mileage. Owned by a specialist indi subaru technician (Who is an ex subaru tech) and he is getting it ready for sale at the moment with a heavy heart. Its pretty much standard, in good condition and has Alcon Prodrive brakes. Arguably the best Impreza ever made alongside the 22B. I am due to detail it for him shortly in prep for the sale, so will be taking pictures etc if you were interested. Drop me a message for details. The guy selling it is a thoroughly top guy and it would come with a full service and a clean bill of health. Not many chances to get that on a P1 imho these days.

Sorry to butt in but do you have any details on the P1?

Mileage, possible pricing etc. I'm half on the look out.

Thanks
