What's your advice on fitting a front strut brace? Pro's, con's, worth doing, handling improvement? I thought of fitting one to my '03 Wagon. Does anyone have a brace fitted?

I would really appreciate any advice.

Thank you.

For the price of them they are a pretty good mod. There arnt really any cons, as all they do is tie the front suspension towers together.

Personally, I found a rear brace gave more of an improvement, but the front did make it feel tighter. Mine is the Carbon STi one, which isnt as good as the ones from your car.

The STi Genome ones look the bizz! And if you really want something to notice, think about a under brace too. They gave a noticeable improvement for the cost.

Many years ago I was told the main setback was if you get hit in the front corner you end up damaging both sides? Makes sense I suppose but is it enough of a problem to unduely worry abou? Probably not

Save your money and put it towards bumpsteer mod and some decent suspension.

Tried several. Even with the properly triangulated ones (as opposed to the 2 fixed points pieces of crap), if you notice a difference then there is something wrong with your car. Emperor's new clothes bit of kit.

Tried STi rear thinking being on an estate it would give more benefit. All it was good for was clamping a DV onto.
