Any pics of your engine bays? I need to find a decent product to clean 9 years of dirt and grease off mine! Any recommendations?

I find cheap as chips bargain basement engine degreaser does the trick followed by Auto Glym bumper care to add some shine afterwards to the plastic and pipework.

I don't have any pics though, its on the to do list!

Do you just spray the degreaser on and then wipe it off? Sorry, that seems a silly question, but i just meant, do you just use a damp cloth as opposed to a pressure washer (for obvious reasons)

I try to avoid spraying it directly onto the engine of an Impreza as there are so many exposed parts. Mostly I spray it onto a cloth then rub it over the areas that require cleaning, it tends to take the dirt off quite easily but you do need to keep turning the cloth or use a few of them, I just use old t-shirts since they will go straight in the bin after use anyway. Once the heavy soiling/grease is off I then go back over with the Auto Glym.

Hope that helps mate;)

Personally I find good old WD40 to be pretty good, especially on Samco hoses if you have any.
