ok, dont some reading and some forums suggest 10w-40 fully sythetic and others say 5w-30 fully synth.

no one really agrees on a definate type, other than the 5w-30 being thinner so maybe not as good but no-one seems to be able to explain their reasoning.

what do you use?

If your car isn't very modified (1st stage remap/PPP) then definately go with a good quality 10W40 fully synthetic. Millers, Fuchs, Silkolene, Castrol, Redline etc etc.... If the weather is very cold for extended periods then a good 5W30 is the way but as it doesn't stay below -C for very long 10W40 should be fine.

If you're getting there on the modified front then 10W50-15W50 is good.

If you drive a highly modded scoob that sees plenty of abuse/trackdays then 15W50-10W60 is good.
