Been having real issues removing the discs of my car to replace with grooved ones. Not sure if they are just seized or what. Was going to attempt using M8 bolts to remove but have heard a few nasty stories regarding the hand brake mechanism inside.

Any ideas?

IF you look around the back of the plate the wheel caliper attaches to you'll see an elongated/rectangle shape rubber grommet. That hides a toothed wheel that has to be turned with a screwdriver. Poke the screwdriver into the hole to turn the toothed wheel clockwise (handle of the screwdriver pivots upwards so the tip of the screwdriver is pivoting downwards in order to loosen the brake shoes allowing you to remove the brake disc.

Until you do that you can bang and clang that rotor all day long, it ain't coming off!!
