Type R Shock Absorber - Where from?
Discussion
Hi all,
I'm told my a local specialist that I will need 2 new rear shock absorbers for my Type R in the next few months. Said specialist buys all their parts from Subaru UK - and thus is mind bogglingly expensive.
Problem is, I can't find anywhere else that sells them. I'm told they are the same as the P1.
Ideally I don't want coilovers (1-Because of insurance, 2-Because I'd have to buy a full kit, instead of 2 shocks, 3-I'd like to keep the car standard). Anyone know where I can buy them?
Thanks

They are the same as any classic subaru (dunno about the wagon).
Camskill does kyb which are oe kit. Although they are not the cheapest.
Are you sure that they are the same? I contacted KYB who said they were different - Type R/P1 apparently use an "inverted gas strut" which is different to the other classics (so I am told).Camskill does kyb which are oe kit. Although they are not the cheapest.
