Ooooh, ahhhh - carrot cruncher!
Hmmmm, 20,000 posts, you'd think he'd be able to create something that rhymes...FAIL!!!!
May i also add, i assume, you over cook your carrotts so they are soft and melt in your mouth? As oppose to Norfolk people eating them while they are crunchy, thus retaining the vitamins and minerals present in said vegetable.
Anyway back on topic, so we've had a really good start to this season. Been very impressed with Lambert since he can in. I knew very little of him before he arrived, other than he had just masterminded our biggest home defeat. But after inherriting a pretty poor squad after messer Roeder and Gunn had done their best to ruin the club, hes transformed us into promotion candiates with very little funding.
Lambert has signed players like Crofts, an excellent all round midfielder, a great tackler and passer of the ball, whos also scored a few vital goals this season, defo captain material. Russell Martin, hes really come on leaps and bounds this season at rightback, he took a lot of stick from fans last year, but has really proven his worth and is the best RB we've had since Edworthy. The free signing of Elliot Ward to replace Doherty has proved an excellent signing and he has formed a good partnership with Leon Barnett, i just hope can keep Barnett, he has been awesome for us. He makes a few sloppy mistakes, but wins just about every header, hes quick and has made some great tackles.
Up front, Holt, well what more can be said, as if the guy wasn't a cult hero after 30 goals last season, THAT performance a couple of weeks ago has secured that. Chris Martin has come on leaps and bounds since spending a season at Luton (one of Roeders few constructive things for this club during his time here). Simeon Jackson has potential, but needs more time to adjust. Hoolahan is a good player, but sometimes too predictable that we'll always go through him, i'd have Lansbury over him everytime, fingers crossed we can keep hold of him for longer.
Overall, Sir Paul Lambert and David Mcnally have transformed this club in 18 months from a club going almost out of business, to one challenging to get into the premiership. We now how some assets on the pitch whom are worth a few £, we have the infrastructure and hopefully a few £ to strengthen again in the next 2 windows.
Can we go up this season? why not, this league is so average its unreal. We have proven we are a match for QPR, Cardiff, Swansea, Derby, we just struggle against the Palaces and Hulls.
