The Official 2010/11 Premier League Predictathon Thread!!!

As per last years thread, and the more recent World Cup thread, this is the new "Offical 2010/11 Premier League Seasons Predictathon Thread".

I've Happily voulunteered to look after the table and things for the first 5 or 6 weeks.

Format as per usual - scoring the same as last year - awarded 3 points for a correct score prediction, 1 point for a correct result prediction (slightly different to the world cup)

If its OK with everyone else - can we ask for weekly sets of predictions?

EG: Predictions in by Midnight (GMT) on the Friday night for the following 7 days - probably makes things easier than having to do mid week predictions etc. Anything recieved after this isn't counted.

For the weeks i'm looking after things i'll get the table updated once a week at least - although due to shift work I can't guarentee what day this will be.

If you're reading this after the start of the season I have no problems with people joining late - you'll just have to catch up!

First week of predictions runs from Saturday 14th of August, up to Friday the 20th of August and includes the following matches.

Sat 14th:

Tottenham v Man City
Aston Villa v West Ham
Blackburn v Everton
Bolton v Fulham
Sunderland v Birmingham
Wigan v Blackpool
Wolverhampton v Stoke
Chelsea v West Brom

Sun 15th:

Liverpool V Arsenal

Mon 16th:

Manchester United V Newcastle United

There are no midweek fixtures.

A tip for you, wait until the last possible moment to post the predictions so all the other cheating gits can't copy off you.

I don't mind going first this week.... tomorrow I'll post all of the correct predictions and the C&V protagonists can do their worst
I would argue for some regulation on when people post, but it did not really seem to matter too much in the end last season.... as im & mickk always copied the wrong results

Short of emailing the predictions to whoever is looking after things I don't think we can do much about people copying each other can we?

The email would work but does it create more work?

I'm in again too and will be further developing the C.R.A.P v3.04 to rise from my 4th last year, 3rd in the WC and aiming for 2nd this year.

Though obviously I will wait till at least 5 people have posted predictions for my "wisdom of crowds" to work

OK Jiff - Why not you and I go first in a "community shield" kinda affair to kick off the new season as you won last year and I think I was 3rd (Lawro was 2nd IIRC).

I've sent off my office one today (as the guy who's running it is off the rest of the week) and am happy to do so here. (Sorry if i'm stepping on toes)
